We assess the work on site and confirm a written quote for the agreed scope. An estimate is an approximate cost; a fixed quote prices a defined scope. Review the tasks, exclusions, parts and validity with us before approval. Changes to the work need discussion and agreement before proceeding.

Photos help explain visible damage, but do not establish hidden condition, compatible parts or access. MEL ONE arranges an on-site assessment before confirming the work and written quote. Send safe existing photos if useful, along with the symptom and suburb; a description is enough to begin.

Your quote covers the work and inclusions agreed for your repair. Review labour, parts, materials, travel, waste handling and GST treatment with us, along with any assessment or minimum call-out charge. Adjustment, new hardware and final painting are separate items unless included in the agreed scope.

Several jobs can start in one repair list. A hinge, torn screen and wall patch still need separate parts and finishing decisions. MEL ONE confirms which tasks can share an appointment; parts sourcing, drying stages or the requirements of separate tasks may require further visits. Put the items affecting everyday use first.

Rollers carry the panel along the track, so either can cause dragging or uneven travel. Worn wheels, a damaged running surface and guide alignment need checking together. Describe where it catches; new rollers will not correct every damaged track. Leave heavy panels fitted for assessment.

Compatible roller replacement may be suitable when the panel, track and surrounding fittings remain serviceable. A damaged frame or running surface can change that choice. A similar-looking hinge may have a different mounting plate, fixing position or opening arrangement. The existing hinge and cabinet need checking together to identify compatible hardware. Safe photos of visible markings can help; the fitting can stay in place while its compatibility is checked before a replacement is purchased.
