Window Screen Frame Fit, Clips and Corner Joints
Rattling or poor retention can concern the frame fit, clips or corner joints even when the mesh is intact. Describe whether the screen sits securely in its opening. Remeshing and correcting frame retention are different tasks and should be assessed separately.
Check whether the issue is torn mesh, a loose retaining clip or a frame that no longer sits square in the opening. A sound frame may be suitable for remeshing, while loose corners and a poor fit need their own repair. New mesh alone will not correct a damaged corner or an incorrectly seated frame.
