Farm Fencing, Automatic Gates & Timber Repairs
For farm fence repairs, we assess timber posts and rails, wire stock fencing, strainer assemblies and gate supports together so a repair addresses the load on the whole affected section. Loose fixings, post movement and a gate dragging on the ground call for different work. The quote identifies which posts, wires, hinges, latches or timber members are to be repaired or replaced.
For an automated farm gate, our carpenter checks the gate and supporting structure while our own licensed electrician handles the power connection, controls and relevant electrical checks. We coordinate the work around the gate system, vehicle access and any stock movements. Gate safety devices, operation checks and the agreed timber finish are included in the work plan before approval.
Bore Pump Repairs & Irrigation Maintenance
For bore pump repairs and irrigation maintenance, we assess the power supply and water system together. A pump that stops, cycles repeatedly or delivers little water may involve a circuit, control, pipe or valve fault. Tell us the pump make, water source, affected outlets and any visible fault indication. Our electrician checks the pump circuit and controls; our plumber checks accessible irrigation pipework, valves and leak points.
We also assess the pump-house base, timber framing and weather protection where movement or deterioration affects the installation. Electrical isolation, pipe repairs, replacement parts and any pump-house strengthening are itemised together, with the work sequence planned around water availability. Pump replacement and irrigation alterations are confirmed for the actual system and duty required.
Farmhouse Repairs & Staff Accommodation Maintenance
Farmhouses, farm cottages and farm staff accommodation often need connected repairs: damaged timber around an opening, a bathroom fitting or pipework upgrade, and electrical fittings that need attention. We inspect the affected timber, supporting material and visible moisture damage, then identify the timber repairs, plumbing tasks and electrical work to include in your repair plan.
Our own licensed plumbers and electricians carry out bathroom plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as switchboard safety checks, alongside our carpenters. Before work begins, we agree access to occupied rooms, water or power interruptions, the fittings to be supplied and the sequence for closing and finishing surfaces. Testing, relevant compliance documents and any remaining finishing work are identified in the quote and completion record.
Rainwater Tanks, Stock Troughs & Shed Wiring
For rainwater tank and stock trough repairs, we check the reported leak, accessible pipe connections, tank pump arrangement and float-valve operation. Describe the farm water use, tank or livestock drinking trough location and whether the fault is continuous or appears during filling. We coordinate suitable plumbing repairs with any timber support or protective enclosure work.
Our own licensed electricians carry out farm shed wiring, three-phase power circuit work and pump connections in line with applicable AS/NZS requirements. Supply, equipment load, isolation, protective devices and the relevant testing are considered for the agreed work. The written scope distinguishes valve and pipe repairs, pump work, shed wiring and support repairs, with required completion documents confirmed for each trade.
Plan access, work sequence and completion
Send one list with the location of each task, your locality and any safe existing photos. Note tracks, gates, slopes, stock movements, parking and the distance between work areas. We plan the trades, materials and water or power interruptions together so the agreed work can share a visit where practical.
The quote records the individual tasks, parts, travel, call-out arrangements and any further visits needed. At completion, we review each agreed item and the relevant trade documents with you.
Farm Maintenance & Repairs: Repair Questions
Can electrical, plumbing and carpentry work share one farm visit?
Yes. Our own SA-licensed electricians, plumbers and carpenters can attend together for Greater Adelaide farm repairs. One coordinated visit can cover several agreed jobs, reducing separate call-outs and waiting between trades. We confirm the tasks, materials, testing and any follow-up work in the written quote.
What insurance do you carry, and how can I check trade licences?
We carry up to $20M public liability cover and Workers Compensation insurance. Ask to see the current certificate of currency and the relevant SA trade licence numbers, supplied with the formal quote or shown on site. Check that the named licence holders, insured work and agreed tasks match your project.
Where do you offer a 24-hour response and emergency call-outs?
Our own farm maintenance team responds to enquiries within 24 hours across Adelaide Hills, Barossa and Fleurieu. Call 0416 614 281 for 24/7 emergency call-outs. When you call, we confirm your farm location, access, the work needed and the attendance time.
