Bathroom Cupboard Hinges and Damaged Mounting Edges
Swollen or damaged board may no longer hold the original fixing securely. Hinge adjustment alone cannot restore that material. Identify the loose plate and any known moisture history; the cabinet edge and hinge need assessment together before refixing or replacement is agreed.
A loose bathroom cupboard hinge needs the mounting edge and board condition checked as well as the hinge itself. Swollen or crumbling material is a different problem from a serviceable hinge that needs adjustment. Where moisture damage is visible, the fixing repair and the source of continuing moisture should be identified separately.
