Describe where the gate drags, how the latch behaves and any need to lift it already noticed. Existing hinge and base-clearance photos are optional; the gate can remain at rest while the movement issue is assessed.

Dragging Gate Bases, Hinges and Post Alignment
Check the support and movement first. Hinge movement, post alignment or an obstruction can reduce clearance without the gate itself needing trimming. Mention whether it needs lifting to latch so the assessed repair addresses the cause of contact rather than only removing material at the base.
